I am a hobbyist photographer living in Boerne, Texas. Native to Texas, I was born and raised in Houston and moved to the Hill Country in February 2008. I describe myself as a hobbyist photographer only because I want to keep it small, and something I enjoy doing in my free time. Once it becomes a “job” I believe some of the fun and enjoyment will disappear. Years ago most of my photography has been the “point & shoot” style. Some time back I purchased a professional digital SLR and decided to pursue a hobby in photography. All my life there has been an interest in photography and art. My goal is to take some great photos and have a little fun. Most of my education in photography has been self-taught through the internet and some great books.
A few years ago I started shooting stock photos for around ten internet stock photo sites. This is something I will continue but narrow it down to just one or two sites. This in itself was a great learning experience because if the photograph is not technically great; it will not get accepted through the approval process.
Recently I dedicated a room for a home studio, added 4 Alienbee strobes (lights), and some other toys of the trade. But I don’t want to stop inside a studio; there are thousands of great outdoor places in the Hill Country for location shots. Drop me a note and lets have a little fun on your next session.
